Why you should keep a Ganesh motif in and around your surroundings?
Lord Ganesh is highly revered and holds significant importance in Hinduism. He is worshipped as the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom, intellect, and new beginnings. Devotees often seek his blessings before undertaking any important task or endeavor.
There are various ways in which Lord Ganesh is represented and worshipped, including through idols, images, or paintings. These representations are often placed in homes, temples, or sacred spaces. It is common to hang or display pictures or images of Lord Ganesh in homes as a symbol of his presence and blessings.
The hanging or display of Lord Ganesh's images can serve as a reminder of his qualities and teachings. It can inspire devotees to cultivate wisdom, overcome obstacles, and embrace new beginnings. The presence of Lord Ganesh's image is believed to bring positive energy, luck, and protection to the surroundings.
Additionally, during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, which is dedicated to Lord Ganesh, it is common to hang decorative ornaments or garlands around his idols or images as part of the festive decorations. These adornments add a celebratory and festive touch to the worship of Lord Ganesh.
Importance of Ganesh from Vastu Shastra Perspective:
In Vastu Shastra, an ancient Indian architectural science, Lord Ganesh is considered highly auspicious and is believed to bring positive energy and blessings to a space. Here are a few aspects of Lord Ganesh's importance in Vastu:
-
Remover of Obstacles: Lord Ganesh is revered as the remover of obstacles and the god of beginnings. Placing an idol or image of Lord Ganesh at the entrance or in the main living area of a house is believed to help overcome hurdles and create a harmonious environment.
-
Positive Energy: Lord Ganesh is associated with positive energy and wisdom. It is believed that having a Ganesh idol or image in the home or office space attracts positive vibrations and promotes a positive and peaceful atmosphere.
-
Vastu Dosha Remedies: In Vastu Shastra, certain architectural or design flaws in a building are considered as Vastu doshas or imbalances. Lord Ganesh is often worshipped or depicted in specific forms to remedy these doshas. For example, the use of a Ganesh Yantra (a sacred geometric diagram) or a specific Ganesh idol may be recommended to rectify Vastu doshas in a particular area of a building.
-
Entrance Blessings: Placing a Ganesh idol or image near the entrance of a house or office is believed to invoke Lord Ganesh's blessings and protection. It is considered auspicious and is believed to bring good luck and prosperity to the occupants.
-
Study and Workspace: Lord Ganesh is associated with intelligence and wisdom. Placing a Ganesh idol or image in study areas or workspaces is believed to enhance concentration, knowledge, and success in academic or professional pursuits.
It's important to note that Vastu Shastra is a complex science, and the specific placement and positioning of Lord Ganesh idols or images can vary based on the unique characteristics and layout of a building. Consulting a Vastu expert or practitioner is recommended for personalized advice and guidance regarding the placement of Lord Ganesh in accordance with Vastu principles.
